​The Fedorova & Takser Piano Duo is widely recognized as one of Canada's most imaginative and accomplished piano ensembles, acclaimed for its virtuosity, original transcriptions, innovative multimedia projects, and distinctive artistic vision.

Educated at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, Daria Fedorova and Ilya Takser unite two of the world's great musical traditions: the intellectual rigor and depth of the Russian piano school with the elegance and refinement of the French classical lineage. This rare combination lends their performances exceptional clarity, expressive richness, and artistic sophistication.

The duo has appeared on international stages and gained particular recognition for its original arrangements, including the highly praised transcription of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition for two pianos. Their recordings for Genuin Classics have received outstanding critical acclaim, with La Scena Musicale awarding the ensemble its highest five-star rating and praising both the artistry and originality of their work. Beyond their performing careers, Fedorova and Takser are highly respected educators.

In 2014, they founded the Fedorova & Takser Piano Studio in Vancouver, which has grown into one of Canada's leading private piano programs. Their students have earned top prizes at national and international competitions and have been admitted, often with scholarships, to some of North America's most prestigious institutions, including Juilliard, Eastman, Oberlin Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal among many others.

Trained at the Moscow Conservatory and the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, Daria Fedorova and Ilya Takser bring together the finest traditions of the Russian school and the French classical lineage — a synthesis that gives their playing its distinctive depth, refinement, and communicative power.

They have performed internationally, earning widespread acclaim for their original arrangements — most notably their transcription of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition for two pianos.
